xulon-logo-10.jpgXulon Press launched the annual Christian Choice Book Awards, a contest which awarded certificates and prize money to 42 Christian authors for outstanding literary achievement in 14 categories.
The contest, which was open to all self-published authors who released a Christian book in 2009-2010, had 206 entrants in a variety of categories that ranged from Christian living to poetry.

Winning the coveted grand prize was Ginger Woods O'Shea's Lifestyle Choices...Up to You! a book that reaches out to anyone interested in improving their health using biblical and natural health principles. The title of second prize winner went to Megan Whitson Lee for All That Is Right and Holy, a book about the evils of sex addiction and sex trafficking centering around a young girl's death. The third prize winner was Jean Robertson for A Place of My Own, a memoir of a woman's journey of faith from the sharecropper farms in rural Mississippi through two failed marriages and rejection by family members to finally finding a place of her own where "no one could put me out."

As the first contest of its kind in the Christian publishing arena, the Christian Choice Book Awards represents a unique opportunity for self-published Christian authors to make their voice heard. And, thanks to this one-of-a-kind contest from the number one Christian publishing company in the world, authors will finally achieve the recognition they deserve.
